Applications

Scholarship applications are available for members of the Senior Class of 2021. Applicants must download the form below and submit all require documents to scholarships@lincolnalumni.com Applications must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday April 11th, 2021. All applications received after will be considered invalid. All eligible students are encouraged to apply.

All applicants, regardless of the outcome, will be receive notice of their status by the end of May. Recipients will be posted on this page and at the Senior Awards Assembly May. Checks will be sent to recipients by end of May. Please contact scholarships@lincolnalumni.com with any questions.

ALHS Alumni Association Scholarship Program

The Alumni Association is proud to be able to provide this key program to the graduating classes of ALHS. We thank the support of our members and donors who have generously kept this program alive and we will continue to work to expand the availability of our scholarships. Scholarship

1. Alumni Scholarship for Academic Achievement

  • 3.75 or better GPA
  • excellent or satisfactory citizenship
  • school service (e.g., student government, clubs, sports)
  • community service
  • attending a four year college

2. Clyde White Scholarship for Academic Achievement   

  • 3.5 or better GPA
  • excellent or satisfactory citizenship
  • school service (e.g., student government, clubs, sports)
  • community service
  • attending a 2 or 4 year college

3. Alumni Scholarship for Special Achievement in Memory of Peter Yan      

  • 2.5 or better GPA
  • exemplifies the qualities of Peter Yan
  • excellent or satisfactory citizenship
  • school service (i.e., student government, clubs, sports)
  • community service

4. Karl Schwarze Scholarship for Special Achievement  

  • excelling after overcoming an obstacle, problem or handicap
  • excellent or satisfactory citizenship grade
  • 2.5 or better GPA
  • school service (e.g., student government, clubs, sports)
  • community service

5. Class of 1955 Men’s Club Scholarship in Memory of Peter Stewart

  • 3.0 or better GPA
  • excellent or satisfactory citizenship
  • demonstrates financial need
  • school service (e.g., student government, clubs, sports)
  • a student who is distinguished in athletic and/or community service

6. Class of 1955 Men’s Club in Memory of Ken Litchfield  

  • 3.0 or better GPA
  • excellent or satisfactory citizenship
  • demonstrates financial need
  • school service (e.g., student government, clubs, sports)
  • a student who is distinguished in athletic and/or community service

7. Class of 2004 Leadership Scholarship   

  • Excellent citizenship
  • 2.5 or better GPA
  • Community service
  • Participates in student government, Lincs or JROTC
  • Attendance at 2 or 4 year college

8. Jeanne-Marie Pannier Soderquist Scholarship #1  

  • based upon contribution and support of the Alumni Association and their goals

9. Jeanne-Marie Pannier Soderquist Scholarship #2

  • based upon contribution and support of the Alumni Association and their goals

10. Dolores Daubert Lewin Scholarship

Student Requirements:

  • Attend Abraham Lincoln HS for at least 3 years and meets all Attendance Guidelines.
  • Grade Point Average (GPS) of 2.5 or better.
  • Attending a 2 or 4 year college.
  • Participated in Community Service.

11. Ted Soulis Scholarship for Art

  • Can be male or female who excelled in art
  • Someone going to an art school or majoring in art at 2 or 4 year college
  • Can re-appy for the scholarship to continue per 2 reports sent to Soulis family
  • To be determined after Feb. 6-month report
  • No specific GPA required

12. Ted Soulis Scholarship for Athletic Achievement   

  • Can be male or female who excelled in sports, preferably basketball
  • Someone going to a 2 or 4 year college
  • Can re-appy for the scholarship to continue per 2 reports sent to Soulis family
  • To be determined after Feb. 6-month report
  • GPA 2.5 or better

13. The Whitehead Family Scholarship

  • For Exceptional Achievement in the arts, whether visual, dramatic, musical or performing 

        

14. The Mustanich Family Scholarship in Memory Bill Mustanich,  a WWII Veteran for JROTC   

  • Minimum of 3 years in JROTC
  • 3.0 GPS overall and in JROTC
  • Excellent citizenship
  • Attending a 4 year institution of higher learning
  • Participated in a majority of JROTC activities & competitions
  • Demonstrated  character, leadership, and a high level of physical fitness
  • Has participated in and given time to charitable giving activities.

15. The Bill Buckley Memorial Scholarship:

  • 3.0 GPA or better 
  • Attending a 4 year college 
  • Good Citizenship 
  • Active in a school or community activity other than sports 

16. The Gordon W. Gribble Science Scholarship

  • To go to a top science student intending to study chemistry, biochemistry, biology or physics (in that order of preference)
  • Attendance at a 2 or 4 year college
  • Based mainly on GPA but also school and community activities

17. The Ron Pang Scholarship for Special Recognition

  • Attending a 2 or 4 year college 
  • demonstrates financial need
  • Going to someone very special who is attending a prestigious school  – (all colleges are prestigious)

18. The John E. Conner Memorial Scholarship

  • prefer student be physically disabled or overcame an obstacle, problem or handicap
  • may be a Special Education student
  • prefer the student be an athlete, but if not that will be okay

19. The Gwen Chan Scholarship

  • A GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Attending a 4 year college
  • Good attendance record (no cuts or on unexcused tardy list)
  • Contributed at least 3 yrs. to school community
  • A person of sound character (no suspensions or disciplinary actions take

20. The Eddie O’Malley Memorial Scholarship

  • Excellent citizenship
  • 2.0 or better GPA
  • Has actively participated in anti-bullying activities/programs
  • or have been bullied (describe)
  • Attending 2 or 4 year college

21. The Sandra Blair and Carol Cohen Scholarship for Social Justice

  • Participated in programs for social justice
  • 3.0 or better GPA
  • Excellent or satisfactory citizenship
  • Community Service
  • Attending a 2 or 4 year college
  • Demonstrates financial need

22. The Sandra Blair and Carol Cohen Scholarship for Environmental Justice

  • Participated in programs for saving the environment
  • 3.0 or better GPA
  • Excellent or satisfactory citizenship
  • Community Service
  • Attending a 2 or 4 year college
  • Demonstrates financial need

23. The Rick Boyle Memorial Scholarship for Basketball

  • To go to a girl or boy who has played Varsity basketball for at least 2 years
  • Should exhibit good citizenship on and off the court
  • A sense of altruism and care for others in honor or Rick Boyle
  • Attending a 2 or 4 year college

24. The Norma Busse Memorial Scholarship

  • To go to a girl planning on attending U.C. Berkeley
  • 3.5 or better GPA
  • Should exhibit good citizenship 
  • Community Service

25. Alumni Association Scholarship in recognition of President Abraham Lincoln

Student that demonstrates:

  • Honesty and integrity
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Inspirational
